So this holiday season, Guild Wars offered a free trial of their new expansion: Eye of the North. On the instruction page it said that after you entered the access key, you had 14 days to use your 5 hour trial. So I entered my access key and figured I'd use the trial after the Christmas events were over. I start playing the Christmas quests and stuff and five hours later it tells me my trial is over! So I contact customer service and after several rounds of them asking for more info and me supplying it, they come up with no help whatsoever. They acknowledged the fact that it was confusing and apologized for any "inconvenience" but refused to give me my five hour trial, or any trial for that matter. Frustrated, I told them that "because my Eye of the North trial experience was 100% identical to my current game play" I would not be buying the expansion. They simply responded by saying, "Thanks for the update."
HOW RUDE! I'm tempted to never buy another NCSoft (Makers of Guild Wars) product ever again! I mean, all this after I helped identify a dozen errors for them during their beta test, and then singlehandedly got 5 friends to buy the game! That's gratitude for you! I'm royally pissed. X_X
